MY VIEW

Another wonderful book where the reader travels to Russia to learn about their culture, their foods, their sites and much more. It was fascinating to me that they have nine time zones. I felt the pronunciation of special words in parenthesis was a helpful way for the reader to learn how to say the words. The wonderful pictures that had maps, pictures of the capital city, Moscow. The author included some interesting facts about Moscow in the book. Ms. Roman gave fun details about what chil

Ms. Roman definitely has a way of making learning fun. In her latest book "If You Were Me and Lived In Russia" you would learn about the different foods they eat in Russia, the names they give to their children and the games they play. This is another excellent entry in the “If You Were Me and Lived in …” series of books, in this case the country is the largest in the world, Russia. The reader is given a brief introduction to how a child in Russia would live, including some of the landmarks and a small set of Russian words widely used by children in Russia. Some of them are the words for mother, father, school, thank you, some of the most popular games played by children and a few of the most popular names.

Grab your passport! It's time for a new adventure. This time we head to Russia. The land of many ethnic groups and lots of cold weather. We can even sample some local favorites and visit the sights.

This series of books are simply astounding! Each one feels like a weekend trip. They are easy to understand and educational too. Children will enjoy learning how other children live in their part of the world. I can't recommend these books enough. Get the whole series!

I found only one issue..lol..
