Mietin pitkään kahden ja kolmen tähden välillä, eli on paremminkin 2 1/2.

Tarinana ihan kiva mutta jotenkin kuitenkin jäi vajaaksi. Oli mielestäni yritetty saada liian monta vuotta yhteen osaan ja siksi tuli olo että oli kirjoitettu hätäisesti ja hyppien tapahtumasta ja vuodesta toiseen. Ja sana ah... kuinka se alkoi ärsyttää kun sitä hoettiin koko ajan. Päähenkilön teennäisyys pisti myös silmään, se puheripulointi ja drama queen- henkisyys oli kanssa jotain joka ei itseeni iskenyt. I read this set as a child. I am currently rereading them on Kindle. I think I got the whole set for a low price. There are a fair number of odd words that I guess I just read over as a child, but I am having fun finding out definitions.

I had forgotten that this first books goes all the way through her year away at school and the death of Matthew. Most of what stuck with me through the years was her younger antics like dying her hair green.
