Absolutely insane to think this actually happened. It's not often I read a non fiction book that is a page turner, but I couldn't put this down. The writing is concise and fairly straightforward, but it really helps bring you there with the men who survived the journey while not getting in the way. Even though you know what's going to happen (spoiler: (view spoiler)), the book still somehow manages to keep you on your toes and heart beating to see if they're going to
