Reading The Hobbit again was like seeing an old friend. It was such a formative book for me, and it still holds up. I’ve always been hard pressed to pick a favorite book, but if I had to pick based on how many times I read it, this would be it. Middle Earth is such an interesting world and Bilbo Baggins is a great hero precisely because we do not expect him to be.
