What Members Thought

Love this book, love this book, love this book.
The end of the world, the Antichrist, Angels and Demons should not be as funny, profound and light as this is. It has the panning out of old James Bond movies, the the-world-is-all-right feel of The Goonies and the silly vision of a genius (or probably two).
If you love either Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, or just having fun, this is the book for you.

It's hilarious - I couldn't stop laughing. There were some parts which were a bit slow, as would be expected in a book of about 400 pages, but I thoroughly enjoyed the references and the exceptionally rich world which Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman created.
I fell in love with the characters, with their flaws, wit, courage and incompetence; especially the angel and the demon.
Reading this book, and the extra material at the end, really ...more

If Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy were written about religion instead of space travel, you would have Good Omens. Very British humor throughout, and a few somewhat profound moments make up this book's majority.
