The only thing I’m upset about is that it took me so long to read this book! I understand why people love it. The release of the TV show is what gave me the push towards reading it. This is a book that can be read quickly as a fun story or slowly and meticulously for a lot of small entertaining details. The satirical nature of the story is timeless and very entertaining.I caught myself cheering for and against all the characters at different times throughout the book.
This was purely enjoyable. Dry and clever English humor paired with some deep thoughts about our world. But the deep thoughts are hidden pretty well in the humor, so no worries to you of the shallow thinking.

we ended up permanently loaning our original copy to some Danes, so I finally managed to get another copy (thank you Abe Books). started reading as soon as the mailman dropped it off and finished it at 11pm,
