This is not a book I would typically pick up to read, but it was for a book club and I figured I would give it a go since it's a short read. I didn't know what to expect in this book, but I actually found myself enjoying it. For science fiction it's an easy read. At the same time this book was rather thought provoking and it will be one that will be in my memory for a considerable amount of time.

Classic Sci Fi book that is the basis for Bladerunner. Rick is a bounty hunter who kills rogue androids. The androids had to kill off the human they were assigned to so they could escape from Mars to Earth. This book explores empathy and artificial intelligence and our response to animals and war and religion. There is so much going on. Dystopia.
A fast paced narrative set in a complex universe where the characters question the very fabric of their existence. I think this is the first book I've ever read about androids, and it was fascinating to see the author's exploration of the subject.
