This is a tricky novel. I would say that I didn't enjoy it very much, but I can't decide if that is a testament to Huntley's skills as a writer. The character of Catherine West is the book. it is told in Catherine's voice and we spend the entire book inside Catherine's head, and I was surprised by the strength of my active dislike of her.
