My First Hemingway!
Brilliant and down-to-earth, Hemingway achieves the sense that the events he describes are happening to you, the reader. He build his ideas and experiences to a crescendo and statement; then he backs off with a self-effacing 'out' that makes you feel like he's a fellow mortal, which of course, he is not.
