What Members Thought
After having read, A Good Man Is Hard to Find, (to which I gave a five star rating), I found Wise Blood to be a disappointment. The scene in chapter eleven with the gorilla is laugh-out-loud funny. The rest of the book is a mere going around in circles of people with a dim intelligence level (to put it bluntly but truthfully - truth being a major theme of the book). Of course, read it if you wish but I don't see why Peter Boxall added it to The 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die.
