Hello hello hello and welcome to my review of Act Like a Lady. As someone who loves the podcast, I knew I had to have the book as soon as I found out about it. This book had me wishing for something this real when I was in my early 20s. I love how unfiltered and honest these ladies are because sometimes that’s what you need to hear. Their real life stories and questionable advice wrap up this book so well. Great job ladies & congratulations on becoming New York Times Best Sellers!

I’m a huge fan of their podcast, bought some of their merch, saw them on their podcast tour. This book made me an even bigger fan. I loved how open they were and was left with a new perspective of and respect for them. Not only do they talk about their own lives, they also give some great (not questionable) advice.

I expected a good read from these ladies, and I was not disappointed. Having listened to their podcast for years, I felt like I already knew them, but was surprised and impressed even further with their openness and quite honestly, their talent. Yes, yes, I know they’re talented, but they didn’t just write a book, they wrote a book that was engaging, thoughtful, heartbreaking and hilarious. What is this book good for? Door stop? Toilet paper during quarantine or to remind you that not all women care to empower other women or to practice what they sometimes preach.
It’s 2021 it is possible to talk shit with your friends, talk about nail polish and tanning but still support issues that matter.
