A completely black and white graphic novel that was a really interesting way for the author to write a memoir. Some parts dragged on a bit, but otherwise I felt like it was a captivating way of chronicling her life.

A really interesting view on a historical event that serves as a precautionary tale and a call for hope. Really beautifully written from the point of view of a child, and the art style gives it a childlike quality.
