This book is pretty good. 3 stars because it failed to wow me, but it contained a lot of elements I can appreciate.
Maggie is a Monsterslayer, and her character reminded me somewhat of Anita Blake crossed with Buffy Summers. She was trained by a deity after Clan Powers began to manifest in the wake of the Big Water, in which much of the world outside a pocket in the southwestern United States gets epically flooded.
