This paper brick had been sitting on my reading pile with the bookmark at the halfway point, waiting.
It had been sitting there for, if I remember correctly, about a year. Half finished. Why?
It wasn't because it was boring, turning into what I call a "grudge read". I asked myself why won't you finish?
And when I did finish, I said, "That's why."
I didn't want to say goodbye to old friends I made during this hard travelled mosaic journey. I didn't want to see them die or grow old. But they did.

It's hard to explain how good this saga really is, and the ability this writter has to create and expand his characters.
I've read a lot of fantastic adventures and I belive this saga may be the very best. Furthermore, this book completes it with one of the best endings I ever found on this genre. I can't wait to read the rest of the standalone books of this universe and to start over the Malazan Book of the Falen.
