Yet again, Ian Cameron Esselmont surprised me with his ability to maintain the precedent set by Steven Erikson in this Malazan universe. While he doesn't have the same depth of dialogue as Erikson he does tell an unforgettable part of the epic that is The Malazan Book of the Fallen. ...more
