The second Malazan book follows only a few characters from the first. You will find Crokus, Apsalar, Fiddler and Kalam. That is it. The rest of the characters are all new.
This makes the beginning a bit daunting. Like at the start of the first book, you are thrown into the deep end and seemingly expected to come out doing a flawless butterfly stroke. Už asi chápu, proč jsem musela počkat dva roky, než jsem si přečetla druhý díl téhle série. Z tohoto dílu mi bude zotavování trvat tak dvakrát dýl.
