First i want to thank Seak (Bryce L.) for his review because without it i wouldnt have found the courage to start reading this master piece.
Reading this book is like solving a puzzle, at the start you get little scatered pieces and you dont know where they fit in the whole picture but your curiousity keeps you going so you look for more pieces and at the end you get rewarded for your patience and dedicating yourself to solve the puzzle by the most awesome result ever.

One of the best books I've ever read. The complexity can be a bit daunting, but the richness and excitement of the story is in a league of its own. I also like the way the author gives you multiple points of view from different characters, much like George R. R. Martin in ASoIaF, but on a much larger scale. I can't wait to get deeper into this EPIC tale.

Gardens of the Moon is a perfect example of Epic Fantasy! Steven Erickson defines a new kind of fantasy within these pages. This is not a book for first time fantasy readers and definitely takes PATIENCE! This is a book for those fantasy readers who are tired of all the Tolkien copycat series. So look. This book was hard to get through. But about two thirds of the way through, things begin to slip into place. And once you pass that threshold, once Erickson gets his feet under him, you won't be able to put it down. Deadhouse Gates has one of the most harrowing and moving story arcs I've read. I still get angry when I think about it.
