What Members Thought
Everyone already recommends this book if you are interested in science fiction/doomsday type reading and I can see why. With the creation of a super plague and a glitch in containment processes a world wide catastrophe unfolds leaving only those immune to survive and rebuild.

A good, epic-length post-apocalyptic story. Many have compared this book to Swan's Song (by Robert McCammon), and I can see why. I actually found that other novel more interesting and memorable than The Stand (not sure which came first, though I suspect it was The Stand).
