It sure wasn't easy to survive if you were a woman in the 18th Century. Moll Flanders starts out life with no advantages. Born in Newgate Prison with no one to take care of her, she uses her wits (and body) to not only survive, but thrive in society. Definitely a memorable character! ...more

Meh...I was bored with her exploits by the first 100 pages and the turn around to repentance was way too late for me to appreciate.
