Freaking Fantastic. So much better than I could ever imagine.
It has the same level of brilliant impact in places that I remembered, quite vividly, but there's no hiding from the reality that Dumas's masterpiece is flawed in certain aspects of its prose. However, it remains an irreplaceable classic - in my heart, at least.

One of my favourite books ever... The Count of Monte Cristo is intriguing, exciting, and suspenseful from beginning to end.
