Finally, the longest buddy read in the history of buddy reads ends (took us eight months). The first time I read The Count Of Monte Cristo was when I was on a Dumas binge as a fifteen year old over my summer vacations (when I was supposed to be preparing for the 'most important exam' of an Indian student's life). I am glad I took this time re-reading it. Having finished it, I really miss the book, like a part of my daily routine has gone missing.

The Count of Monte Cristo: Three weeks, 1400 pages, 450,000 words. Two different translations (the Penguin/Buss is the only way to go, as I discovered halfway through). And if you're reading on the Kindle, over 28,000 locations. After about 30 hours' reading time, I have no doubt I am going to miss the most entertaining novel of all time. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! And very possibly the best book ever.
