Jennifer DeRosier
I chose, The Diary of a Young Girl, as one of my mentor texts to discuss autobiographies. Autobiographies are books that are written about the author, by the author. This is a book that I read while I was in school, and I think that every student should have to read this book. It is such an important story about a courageous girl who was in a terrible situation. This book could also be paired with a social studies lesson if you are talking about World War 2.
