It's been awhile since I last read this fantastic piece of work that I forgot the brilliance of Lee's writing. To capture an eight year old's view of the world and use it to portray the adult consciences that surrounds her in a witty form is sheer brilliance.

I have heard wonderful reviews about this book which made me want to read it. I went in thinking that it was going to be the best book I've ever read and I ended up not liking it for that reason. The beginning I found boring and slow. It wasn't until the end with the trial and the play that it really got interesting for me. This book is fine, but it's not great either.
