I rarely give out 5 stars. That's like, Harry Potter status.

Even though I'm a slow reader, I finished this in two sittings. I got really unique vibes from this book - it felt like a 1940s film noir slash gritty comic book.

Kaz is SO complex and intriguing. I love how he dresses in tailored suits and vests with his gloves and cane. His intelligence and scheming ways are just INFLKSNCIOASDFEJIESIONSFISDFJ. He's literally terrible, but you love him nonetheless.

I can't explain how amazing this book is. Reading it was like falling in love with a whole new world and characters. I really, enjoyed this book. I loved everything about the characters. It's everything you want from a fantasy fiction.

It's set in the Ketterdam- a dangerous city of violence. There are six main character in the book and has multiple POV. Getting a POV from each of them helped to provide depth to the characters. Each of them had difficult past which shapes their characters. Kaz is I can't explain how amazing this book is. Reading it was like falling in love with a whole new world and characters. I really, enjoyed this book. I loved everything about the characters. It's everything you want from a fantasy fiction.

Each of them had difficult past which shapes their characters. Kaz is offered with a dangerous proposition of breaking into the Ice court, for which he has been offered a lot of money, but obviously he can't do it alone.

My favorite aspect of the book is the characters and the back story of the characters were interesting. And, finally thing I loved the most. There's, Kaz the 17 year old thief who is mysterious and seeks revenge for something which is happened in the past. His character is complex and flawed. He's smarter than everyone, cooler than everyone and crueler than everyone.He's got nickname "dirtyhands" for his brutal morality. He walks with a cane and never takes off his gloves. He's the man with all the plan. He drives the action and, I think he's got the best lines in the book.

Inej- She's incredibly strong and goes out for her own aspiration. She feels secure with her knives. She's the light-footed spy , she also has a gift of stealth never making, any sound as she moves simply known as "wraith". Kaz's secret keeper. I love Inej’s quiet determination, and her relationships with others–particularly Kaz.

Nina- The Grisha Heartrender, with magical ability to heal and calm. Matthias- Soldier of the Ice Court, the shamed Grisha hunter and prisoner with a murderous grudge against Nina who betrayed him. I enjoyed all his conflicts and the growth of his character.

And there's Jesper, the sharpshooter and the gambler and Wylan, the runaway privileged son with his demolition skills. They're the most adorable characters and managed to make the story light with the drama and dialogues. The pair were obvious from the beginning, Nina and Matthias were really fun.

The story line was captivating from start to finish, you'll be hooked with the story line of the six amazing characters. It's a brilliant book with amazing characters and great writing. You should honestly read this book. It's a great read.

Recommended to those who like fantasy and adventure.

I strongly recommend Six of Crows, a thrilling adventure packed with shocking twists, superb dialogue, and well-developed characters.

The characters in Six of Crows are compelling and dynamic. For example, take Kaz Brekker, the main character and leader of the crew. At the beginning of the novel, Kaz is introduced as a ruthless criminal who cares for nothing but profit. But as the story progresses, not only does the reader learn the heartbreaking experiences that shaped him into who he has become, one is able to see how his relationships with his crew blossom as he begins to care deeply for them and their well-being. Another example of a well-developed character in Six of Crows is Wylan Van Eck. Wylan starts out as shy and unsure of himself, but is able to grow in becoming more confident in his worth as a member of the crew. As was the case with Kaz, we also learn about the hardships that shaped him in his past, a twist that I would not have expected when I was first introduced to this character. This shows us the depth of Leigh Bardugo’s writing. Dynamic characters are essential to any good story; without them, one cannot get as invested in the narrative being told. For this book to have not one, but many characters that develop eloquently increases the quality of the storytelling greatly. But characters are not the only rationale of my recommendation of this novel.

The storytelling through point of view in Six of Crows was unique and a major part of what made this novel exceptional. While the point of view is third person, each chapter is from the different perspectives of the six main characters. This allows one to understand the different goals and secrets of these characters that could not occur if a different point of view was used. For example, two characters plan to disrupt the mission to benefit their personal motives, which they must hide from the rest of the team. As a result, this form of storytelling creates suspense in the reader, who is forced to wonder what the outcome of this rebellion will be.

Because of the various strong facets of Six of Crows, including strong character and perspective, I recommend this exciting adventure of a novel. As one can see, anyone who enjoys suspense and thrill should read this book. I guarantee it will have you on the edge of your seat. ...more
