I never in a million years thought I would feel a kinship or a keen interest in Octupuses. I did not go into this book fascinated with Octopuses; I read it because it claimed to explore consciousness and the soul. A topic I'm fascinated with given my grandmother's diagnosis and long and losing battle with Alzheimer's Disease. I found this book to be fascinating. I plan on passing it on to my teens and then we're going to take a trip to the New England Aquarium. I'm dying to see an octopus in action now. Sy Montgomery's writing is beautiful, she has such an interesting way of explaining things. ...more
