I'm not usually attracted to books that feature financial elements, but in this case I made an exception. Simply because I love how this author writes and the way she puts together a story. I'm so glad I went with my intuition, which shows sometimes you just need to trust a favored author.

This one is a slow-building and character driven tale where eventually all the stories connect with each other as we are taken along on an almost magical journey. I can only imagine how difficult it would be to follow Station Eleven with an equally amazing book so I'll be easy on Mandel.
This is a simple story made overly complex in an effort to have everyone's lives overlap. Mandel has shown that each character's actions are the result of the actions of someone else. A very involved plot with great characters. Kept me riveted and entertained
Audio. 2x just to make sure I really understood the story clearly. It was very well written but it just didn’t grab me as it has so many others. I felt the characters lacked enough depth for me to care about them.
