I picked this based on its title, for some reason thinking it would be a light, humorous read. It’s not at all. It’s a sentimental memoir about a twenty something who loses her mother to cancer. I haven’t been lived to tears by a book in a long time, but this one did it. I think I would have appreciated this more if I was more familiar with Korean cuisine, which plays a major role. But still, it was very moving.
