3.5 stars rounded up. I thought the plot device of a true crime podcast to solve a murder was a good idea. My problem was that I didn't really care for any of the characters. The protagonist could have been sympathetic; she was accused of the murder of her best friend and her family and friends had readily believed it (except her grandmother), she had been seriously injured herself, she was likely continuing to suffer from traumatic brain injury, etc. But she wasn't a sympathetic character at al ...more

This was a keep-your-attention, don't want to put down, mystery read. I got through it real quick and enjoyed it all. I found myself questioning all of the characters at some point. 4-4.5 stars ...more

i What if everybody thought you murdered your best friend?

What if you didn’t know if that was true or not because you couldn’t remember?

five years ago, Lucy was found, stumbling along the highway with a head injury, and not remembering what happened

And her best friend is behind her dead

Why wouldn’t everyone th think she had done it, and she had no way to know, or to prove that she did not do it.

I really enjoyed this read I’d highly recommend it

I started the book while on a trip and I thought I'd read for thirty minutes before taking a nap. But I ended up reading 150 something pages in one go. (view spoiler) I finished the book in 3 days while on vacation. It's not too dark, though there is an ongoing element of dark humour. I would recommend this one as a quick read with zero world building but captivates your attention. ...more
