In a dark, dark wood thee was a dark, dark house;
And in the dark, dark house there was a dark, dark room;
And in the dark, dark room there was a dark, dark cupboard;
And in the dark, dark cupboard there was ... A skeleton!
- traditional Halloween tale
Brilliant description of the woods in the cold. Brought a chill while reading which added to the thriller-type storyline/mystery. Descriptions of the dark house with the candling hit reflecting in the window, fragile ghostly flames, etc. Thanks so muc ...more

What a bunch of whiners! Everyone in the book has an inflated sense of entitlement, and so it is no big surprise when it all comes to a head at a "hen" party (i.e. girls' weekend). If you have no expectations, and need to kill time on a long flight, then this book will do that. But there are no surprises. And there are better authors.
