Audio version is just as lovely as the book was the 1st time I read it.

I received, Where the Crawdads Sing from the publisher. I couldn't wait to read, and discuss it with our book club. I loved the writing style( it was poetic). I had been hearing great recommendations from many people. So the anticipation was great. But as I kept reading, and reading, I felt like it was unbelievable. I understand this is fiction. I loved this book!
Enjoyed the descriptions of the natural area but seriously doubted that a small town where everyone knows who does what would be as heartless as to leave a child on their own year round in a swamp, or that the wealthy side of the family would not help the child out. Too big a leap for me.
