This is a quirky story involving several quirky characters. What they have in common is a love of books, and writing. As a reader, I found that I grew fond of the characters as I got to know them. In the end the common denominator among the main characters was love, in a more general way than love of books.
I found the novel engaging, beginning to end. As a native New Englander, I enjoyed spending my reading time immersed in a setting that feels like home.

I loved this book, I have been putting off reading the end because I didn't want it end. I loved the characters, especially A.J. Fikry, he's a snarly book store owner in Alice, the only book store in the town. I love him because he's so snarly, but he loves and loves deep. The writing was good, the ending was good and sad all in one, but I loved this book.
