A great entertaining read. Perfect for sunny days on the beach or fresh Autumn windy days or maybe dark cold winter nights wrapped up on the couch. OK ! To be honest this is just a great read anytime anywhere.

I really enjoyed this Novel and don't think I will be able to stand at the school gates and look at parents in the same light again.

Toward the end I thought I had it figured out. Turns out....nope I did not :-) This book is very much a page turner. It is what I would call a "chic-lit thriller". You know right from the start someone dies but no details what-so-ever. The rest of the book is getting to know the people who were there at the time of the incident. There are some moms in the story who are very superficial and ridiculous but then the author also covers some heavy topics. I really enjoyed this and will read more of h ...more

This was my third book I've read by this author and it just might be my favorite! If I could give it 6 stars I would. Not only is the writing compelling and entertaining, it develops the character in such a way as to provoke your inner-most feelings. The lives of several women and their families slowly develop allowing the reader to learn about their secrets and their lies. Big Little Lies is not a literary sensation. But, what it is, a page turner, and a beach read. It is a murder mystery, as well. Makes you want to know what's next. I have been wanting to read for months. I finally read and I am not disappointed. I have been studying all semester and I was looking for something that was a page turner, and not too deep. Big Little Lies hit the spot. At the same time it does have issues to talk about. Parenting, bullying, parenting competition, secrets, etc.

Great fun book to read. Having lived in Australia and put a child trough "prep" over there, I found some of the references quite hilarious. A murder is committed but the reader doesn't know who did it or who actually got killed. About 75% into the book though, the story changes and what seemed mostly odd/light/funny events and situations, becomes something much more deeper and darker. ...more
