Welcome to USA circa 2020.
Despite its length and style (stream of consciousness) and being a little over one thousand pages (Will Self’s Umbrella is about 390 pages... I gave up on page 100!) I loved every page!
Once you get over the repetitive use of... ‘the fact that...’ and trust me, you will get over it if you push through, by page 500 I hardly registered, that’s her way of ‘talking’... she feels so real at times... as If you are next to her, listening to her talking to herself...

The fact that I loved the rhytmic of the language in this book, the fact I loved all the references and how the stream of thoughts just draw me into the world.
The fact is that this book blew my mind!
