This novel just sort of oozed 'cool' to me. I was hooked by the first pages. I enjoyed our main characters and the world. It's not perfect but it had me hooked. I probably could have read a book of them in classes with a long arc of Kate trying to figure out who August is but anyways... I feel like we could have gotten so much more out of some of the side characters and reasons behind things but I'm still happy with it. Loved.

Re-read this, this time on audio, so that I would have all the characters and info fresh in my brain when I read Our Dark Duet. I loved this second reading just as much as I did the first.
Oh my Gosh! Once I started reading this book in earnest, I could not possibly put it down. The world and the creatures were so interesting and the characters were so engaging! I just really need to know what happens next, okay?
