I couldn't bump it up because it had a somewhat cliffhanger. I still feel like I got the main story but it was such a glaring hanging line which is a pet peeve. The story is really great. There is a heated life affirming sex but no romance per se. It is a real, who is doing this and orchestrating each different step and attack. I like Integrity (that is her name) and her way of thinking at the same time as trying to steal the clothes off your back, yet, her moral guides other than the thiev ...more

The first Helen Harper series I read was the Lazy Girl's Guide to Magic and absolutely loved it. This series (so far) doesn't have the same loveable snark, but the fingerprints are still there, and the story took some great twists and turns I wasn't expecting. ...more
