Solid Drizzt outing. Not quite on the level of the Dark Elf trilogy, but then this was written prior to them. Still merits an easy 4 stars and I begin to suspect that Salvatore isn't capable of writing anything boring.

First, the typical Drizzt guilt is absent this go-round. While I really think the guilt was a vital part of Dark Elf and it made Drizzt a much more compelling hero, it was nice to put it to rest after 3 novels of brooding.
