Excellent end to an excellent trilogy. I don't know exactly why I love Drizzt so much, but I really, really love him. Perhaps it is because he is so truly good in a time of anti-heroes (and I really love anti-heroes) that he stands out among other protagonists. Probably it has more to do with the fact that he wrestles with guilt so much and I just want him to be free of his self-imposed burdens. 3.5 stars. The beginning is good and the ending is excellent but that middle third is SO VERY SLOW. Once you meet the Ranger Mooshie the book picks up and becomes an enjoyable ride with playful bears that love to smack around some orcs.
