Such a good book. Tough decisions with no easy answers. Bring Kleenex.
This book, while a captivating story, started out slow for me. By the time I reached second half of the book I could not put it down and finished it in one sitting, while tears streamed down my face. This is the story of impossible choices and the ramifications that come from those. By the end I didn't know what I wanted to happen, and I loved that the author thoroughly presented each and every characters point of view so that there was no absolute 'right' decision. I thought I'd be moved by the tragedy of the story and wowed by the literary quality of the writing. Loved the setting, the promise of the themes of parenthood ... but I did not get suckered into the melodramatics of this predictable tale. I'd say pass. My full review on my blog Guiltless Reading.
