A very good book!!! especially by an author who wrote it and edited it all at the age of 16!!!!!
He must have gone through a lot of planning and development of the plot before-hand as the points in this book well imprinted on the other books. It also included many traits like action and ESPECIALLY adventure!! This book was quite important to the development to the entire Inheritance series.

It's a great book but it is really big; you have to be prepared to read it because it gets kind of confusing at points. But other than that AMAZING!!!

I read the first two books of this series within days. It was fantastic in the way that I understood what was happening, where as with The Lord of the Rings I was confused and almost always had to go back and check to see if I truly understood. A little nerdy maybe, but hey- I'm into that kind of thing and I don't let it stop me. I thought this book was great. If you like mystical settings and even more mystical creatures this one's for you.

The book is just simply awesome. I first watched the movie and got hooked. But after I read the book, the movie seemed like rubbish. So I read all the other books, and was addicted. I couldn't let go of the book at all. The way Paolini weaves his stories makes me love it. The Eragon series is definitely my all time favourite now, and it always will be
