Reread: December 2016
I usually make it a rule to wait a year before rereading books... this is the second time this month that I've broken that rule, oops. I also had to reread ACOMAF because I just couldn't wait with either of these books.

This book is so so perfect. It's gorgeously written, I love the characters, and the ending just fills me with a happy, warm feeling. I love how the characters grew and developed throughout the story. I'm now actually okay with the fact that it's a standalone, because anything that would be added on couldn't possibly make the story better than it already is. I would most definitely recommend this book.

Book 4 for BTAT 2017! I really enjoyed this one.
Really maybe closer to a 4.5. Beautifully written for the most part, REALLY picks up in the second half. VERY dark and gruesome at times, so bear that in mind. Agnieszka is delightful, and I love that she was a problem solver and so intuitive when it came to her power, and how angry it made the Dragon. And is it weird I love that she's constantly filthy? Like this is a legit character trait for her and I kinda love it. The other characters are just as well-drawn, and even the villains eventually

This is one of the best fantasy novels I've ever read. I'm usually hit or miss with magic novels, but this one blew me away with great characters and plot in addition to the world. Excellent read.
