Well, I didn't hate it. It has some funny moments, and I can see where it would make a great comedic movie, but I really don't get the hype for this book. It may have been inspired by the 1995 BBC production of Pride and Prejudice, but any resemblance to Jane Austen's book or characters is extremely superficial. I'm about halfway through and so far I hate her. I saw the movie, but I think she's even more obsessive compulsive and a ninny in the book than in the movie. Pull it together already. I have no sympathy...clearly. I had to scan the last few months cause I just had no desire, but as always, I try to give the book group books the old college try!
