i don't usually go into a book blind but i did with this one
not knowing what to expect, i did find myself lost in the beginning but as soon as things started to fit together it made for such an emotional and heartbreaking story. it was devastating in a way that it's bleakness feels too close to real life. the book is so beautifully layered that i'm sure i will love it more on a second read.
