What Members Thought
firstly, i didn't expect to cry within the first 20 pages.
this book was so beautifully written. joan didion did a spectacular job capturing her grief and the year following the death of her husband and hospitalisation of her daughter. there were so many moments in the text that left me absolutely breathless (when i wasn't in tears of course).
i did think the middle section was a bit repetitive and dragged a little bit although it made sense to why it was written that way. by the end though she wo ...more
