This books was SO painful to read. I know people loved it, but it’s the opposite of what I look for in a book. I want books to dive into characters to give me depth. This was written in the tradition of oral storytelling, weaving disparate lines and characters together in a colorful tapestry but with little depth. It hops all over the place from person to person to person to person (there are MANY characters). I get what the author is trying to do and I value his message, but I fell asleep every ...more
