Loved it! As much as ai enjoyed the human characters, I think I enjoyed “Six-thirty” the most!

Surprisingly I didn't hate this as I thought I would. I mean in the beginning it's super frustrating as a woman to just have another woman share what it's still very much like to be a woman to you because a female audience doesn't really need their own situation explained to them but it was funny enough and the character of six thirty is so well done I'm not mad I finished it ...more

“The hydrogen bond-the most fragile….I call this the ‘love at first sight bond’ because both parties are drawn to each other based solely on visual information: you like his smile, he likes your hair. I didn’t love this book. I have a hard time with books using 21st century culture and norms and assuming it was like that in the 50’s. It felt disingenuous. Elizabeth was too much of a caricature, and she was unlikeable, at that. Also, I guess I missed the humor? I’d give it 2.5, rounding up.

Six-thirty is the best dog character ever! Love, love him and he is based on Garmus'own dog. The experiences of Elizabeth Zott will hit home for many women. ...more
