Can we please trash the trope that characters can only be interested in bdsm and sexual deviancy as a symptom of previous abuse or moral failure? It’s lazy, consescending writing.
Ancora una volta Sally Rooney mi ha colpito per come riesca bene a raccontare gli amori moderni. A primo impulso può sembrare un semplice libro adolescenziale e invece i personaggi principali sono molto complessi, nascondono ferite casi incolmabili e insieme cercano di superarle, anche senza accorgersene, vagano lontani ma poi si ritrovano sempre.
To be honest the book kept me interested but the timeline was hard to follow at some points and the story was a little frustrating overall. Not one I would really recommend.
