I've been struggling to put my thoughts and feelings into words. On the plus side, the book is beautifully written (there are a couple of quotes in my updates).

On the down side, I was annoyed by how easy and convenient the magic was. I wasn’t convinced by the “unleashed darkness” and what it was trying to achieve. There is one scary and chilling scene (view spoiler), but it is lef ...more

I listened to the audiobook, read by Gaiman, and as a result I think I enjoyed it more than I would have had I read it in print. It was kind of mesmerizing.
