What Members Thought

It was the title that grabbed my interest, and I'm glad it did. You could summarise the content of this book in the phrase "love, loss and kimchi" - the name of an article the author wrote, but that would not do it justice.

I loved all of the food talk in this book and could relate to a lot of it due to my many business trips to Korea. Didn’t realize it was going to be such a raw memoir that included all the details of losing her mother. I could also relate to that from losing my dad, but it was hard to read and, while it showed that all those feelings are universal, it didn’t really help add any new perspective for me.

It's a good book but it's one in what feels like a neverending series of books I've read that I would have preferred as a magazine article.
