I really enjoyed the first half of this book. It's the story of two video game developers, how they got into it, and their relationship with each other and their games. Definitely not plot-heavy. It relied heavily on characters not communicating well with other characters, which I really hate. For example, he doesn't do a thing because he's in pain, but she thinks he doesn't do the thing because he's being a jerk, so she calls him a jerk, and he never mentions that he's in pain and just lets her

I expected to enjoy this book so much more than I did. I ended up being annoyed with myself that I left it so long to start the audio book that the return window was closed. The narrator had such a flat monotone delivery that she was boring me to death. So I switched to the print version thinking that must be the problem, but I was still bored…and irritated. This was fine, but it felt overly long and meandering (which was maybe the point? I don't know).
