i'll be honest and say the first 50 pages were really slow and i was beginning to question all the acclaim surrounding this book. HOWEVER, when things pick up and everything starts falling into place, it was everything i ever wanted in a magical realism type fantasy book.
i have a strong preference for unlikable characters but piranesi won me over so easily with his earnestness and the way he saw the world. and even tho i really loved the book the first time around, it's one that i can easil ...more

Great book, I don't recommend reading the synopsis, good book, just read it, new experience, ask the questions later :)
